Elements

By Krishandra Murphy

Water:

Water, water everywhere

A wonder of nature’s care

From mountain high, to seas so vast

It flows and moves it never rests

Its fills the oceans, lakes and streams

Providing life, in its very vastness

Water is a miracle of nature.

It nourishes, refreshes, and gives us all pressure.

Earth:

The Earth is the foundation

Where all life on this planet is founded

The rocksand the soil, the trees and the grass

All created by the mighty Earth´s pass

The mountains and valleys the seas and the lakes

But without the other elements it would be nothing but distaste

Air:

Air, oh so precious and light,

A vial element of day and night

It fills our lungs, and fuels out breath

It moves our bodies, and helps us rest

It carries sounds, scents and helps us grow

We cannot live without its breathly touch

For air is pure much like some of us.

Fire:

Fire, oh so bright and warm

A powerful element strong and wild

It lights the way, in the dark of night

It cooks our food and gives us light.

It heats our hearts it heats our souls,

Although destructive, it feels like home.

With it great power comes responsibility for fire can mend the coldest hearts,

But it could also start a dangerous spark.

Ice:

Ice, oh so beautiful and cold

A frozen element that we behold.

It cools our drinks and forms in snow

It’s what we love when it flows.

It reflects light, and makes a glacier sound

It’s a sight to see, a noise so loud.
